About Us

CERC – Christian Educators Resource Center

CERC is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 with the mission of supporting the homeschooling community in North East Texas. CERC provides educational resources and a Christian environment to share in teaching homeschool students through classes, support meetings, services and activities. CERC was incorporated under Texas State Law in March 2008. In January 2011, CERC received it’s Recognition of Exemption under 501(c)(3).

In the winter of 2006, sisters Liz Hach and Shari Nelson were both praying about a bookstore and co-op in the North East Texas area. At that time, the need was great for providing a new and used curriculum store on our side of the DFW-metroplex, as well as, several local co-ops reaching maximum class sizes and turning home schoolers away from critical course needs. In six months’ time, the Lord provided a location, an enormous vision, and mission to meet these needs. God continues to bless CERC’s ministry and to meet an increasing number of families who have joined us in this grand adventure.
