This class is a high school level biology program. It is a for-credit course with a lab component designed to be the student’s first high school science course. It will help prepare students for college biology by providing a detailed introduction and foundation of the methods and concepts of general biology. With an emphasis on biology vocabulary, this course provides the student with a strong background in the scientific method, the five-kingdom classification scheme, microscopy, biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular and Mendelian genetics, dissection, and ecosystems. It also provides a complete survey of the five kingdoms of God’s creation.
More information on this course from the publisher can be obtained at: https://www.apologia.com/homeschool-high-school-biology/

Homework: Approximately 3-4 hours of reading, note taking, and studying at home weekly, plus lab work and tests.
