This is an open workshop. Attend as many workshops or little as you like or are able. All Quilters can arrive 15 minutes early to set up.
Meeting Saturdays at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Starting January 18, 2020)
Bible-based quilt blocks. Quilting through the Bible. Each square represents verses, symbols, and people from the Bible. Squares are intricately pieced. Two (2) patterns and instructions will be provided for your choice of the week. This is a great quilt for using scraps of fabric, or you can purchase Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, or Fat Quarters. Size of quilt is your choice. All finishing instructions will be provided as we get closer to completing the blocks of our choice.
Blocks will be 8×8″ blocks. Original pattern is 6×6″, so we will be making some small adjustments.
Patterns based on the book The Bible Sampler Quilt: 96 Classic Quilt Blocks Inspired by the Bible by Laurie Aaron Hird. (The Book is not required as all information will be provided.)

The IKAT quilt is a great modern pattern which uses Jelly Roll lengths for piecing. Patterns and instructions are available on-line and during workshop. Size of quilt is your choice.

Ages: 12+ invited, recommend 12-15 year olds be accompanied by parent, especially if new to sewing. Open to members and non-members.
Pre-requisite: Must have basic beginning sewing skills, and basic knowledge of your personal sewing machine.
Materials Needed: Fabric (jelly rolls, layer cakes, fat quarter, fat eighths) and/or scraps for blocks and top, thread, sewing machine, scissors, marking pencil/pen, rotary cutter, 12×12 or larger cutting mat. (Yardage for finishing quilt will be provided at the meetings.)
Materials Fee/Tuition: $40 (every 6 months; fee covers supplies and building use.)
