Leslie Pecena brings 25 years of teaching experience to the classroom. She started as a math teacher in 1990 at Agnew Middle School in Mesquite, teaching a variety of students from struggling to gifted. When her first child was born in 1995, Leslie left the public schools and began her homeschool career. She has been teaching her own four children at home for the last 19 years. In addition, Leslie has taught pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry to many dozens of home educated students for the past nine years. She has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters Degree in Education from East Texas State University.
