Her husband and she served in the Philippines as missionaries. Their three, home-educated children currently attend Christian universities. Her own Bachelor of Science Degree came from Texas A&M University in College Station with a major in sociology and minor in psychology. Upon graduation, she tested and received a social work certificate. Besides the required classes for her major and minor, she took classes in children’s literature, astronomy, weather, geology, Bible, teaching Drivers Ed, and Spanish. She has taught these subjects to her own children in addition to utilizing co-ops such as CERC.

Her other teaching experiences include over 30 years of Bible teaching– from preschool to high school to ladies classes; two multi-family co-ops; and CERC where she has taught Hands-On Science Experiments, Kitchen Experiments, Kindergarten, Math, Apologia’s Flying Creatures, American History and Countries & Cultures (drawing from her travels in Mexico, Canada, Taiwan and China). The last couple of years she has taught classes from her home or community center on a variety of subjects such as world geography, countries & cultures, astronomy, beginning reading, Creation to Greeks, science and literature.
She relishes delving into the nitty-gritty of subjects, and her teaching style includes student action whenever possible. Kimberly has always enjoyed learning and helping others find the joy in learning as well!

“Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.” – ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17-21‬ ‭ASV‬‬
