American Literature & Composition – gr 10+

Description: Students will enjoy reading American Literature, connecting the authors’ lives and beliefs with their own knowledge of American History.  Literary periods include the Colonial-Revolutionary, Romantic, Realistic/Naturalistic and Modern Literature. Students will learn about the cultural and historical events that influenced each period. We will focus on their literary analysis skills and compose a few essays.
