Description: This is a practical, introductory computer applications class that trains individuals to use Microsoft Windows and Office Suite applications. This course covers PC history, hardware, software and operating concepts. The student will receive hands on experience in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other programs.
The course will also briefly explore touch typing and how to navigate search engines to find information on the internet, and being able to copy, save, and print documents from various sources.
In addition, the course serves as a foundation for developing computer skills that are important for academic, personal, and job success. This is accomplished by students working on projects that are applicable to real world scenarios.
