Intermediate Art – gr 4-7

Description: This two-semester class is designed for the older student to further their understanding of drawing, painting, and design. The students will be exposed to various drawing media and techniques, such as shading with pencils, as well as with oil pastels. They will further explore various paints, such as watercolor and acrylic paints. The students will be able to create multi-media works of art, such as collages and other compositions that combine drawing and painting. Emphasis is on individuality to create unique works of art that are realistic, as well as abstract.
